CAVES OF EL SOPLAO

CAVE OF EL CASTILLO

The caves of Monte del Castillo, located in Puente Viesgo, is a set of four caves declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 2008. Of the four, two are open to the public: El Castillo and Las Monedas. The cave of El Castillo is one of the most significant collections of Paleolithic rock art in Europe. Its interior represents an authentic “monograph of Palaeolithic rock art”.

SOMO AND LOREDO BEACHES
