Santillana del Mar is, without a doubt, one of the places with the greatest historical-artistic value in Spain, to the point that everything in it is a monument. To speak of Santillana del Mar is to do it also of the Altamira Cave,<\/strong> qualified as the “Sistine Chapel” of prehistoric art, this cave probably contains the most famous prehistoric paintings in the world.<\/strong> Santillana del Mar is home to an intense cultural activity, which takes place throughout the year in its different exhibition halls and museums.<\/p>\n

Our route continues to Comillas.<\/strong> In addition to its medieval and baroque buildings,<\/strong> Comillas stands out as one of the few places outside of Catalonia where modernist artists like Antoni Gaud\u00ed<\/strong> took part, being El Capricho,<\/strong> the work of the great architect, one of the most visited buildings in Cantabria.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our route ends in San Vicente de la Barquera,<\/strong> one of the most well-known and beautiful prints of the Cantabrian coast. A place of obligatory passage in the communication between Asturias and Cantabria, its geographical location has undoubtedly favored its development as one of the preferred tourist destinations in the region.<\/p>\n
